Clarendon Academy is seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to support within our Enhanced Provision. The role involves in class support (whole school) and working with SEND students in our enhanced provision (Link) as well as the possibility of running small group interventions.
Required: ASAP. Working Hours: Part Time (30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year including Teacher Training days).

The successful candidate must be able to work across all age ranges and abilities within our school and be prepared to work flexibly to support students with additional needs, including those requiring SEN support, liaising with teachers and SENCO. Responsibilities include providing general classroom support, meeting the students’ emotional and social needs and liaising with other teaching staff in the development and delivery of an adaptive curriculum.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has at least grade C in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent;
- Has a passion for delivering high quality and exciting opportunities for young people and supporting them in their development;
- Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and are able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents;
- Is self-motivated, dedicated and consistent;
- Has the ability to deal with new challenging situations;
- Is a strong team player, good at building relationships;
- Has a confident, resilient and flexible attitude;
- Is organised and enthusiastic;
- Enjoys working with young people and can develop good working relationships with them;
- Understands and is sympathetic to the needs of young people, including their social, emotional and mental wellbeing;
- Has experience of supporting student’s learning.
